Following participation on a profile

A list of individual edits is not enough to see whether someone has steadily improved several arcades. Each task is readable, but the continuity of participation is harder to grasp. Gamma’s public profile collected account introductions and document work; we added a daily contribution graph and verification indicators to make that activity easier to follow.

An introduction and SNS links describe how users present themselves, while edit history shows work performed in the service. We retained those existing sections and added activity summaries and verification, arranging them so readers can understand what each describes. Document contributions remain visible even without a detailed personal introduction.

Authors and the daily contribution graph

Each change retains its author and target arcade. Profiles follow those relationships to collect contributions. For example, changing a nickname does not detach earlier work from the account. Matching display-name strings is unnecessary, so updating an introduction does not change who performed the work.

A daily contribution graph uses colour to summarize when activity occurred. It cannot explain how a particular arcade changed, so arcade-specific activity lists lead to actual edit history. Readers can start with the summary and inspect the work that interests them.

Contributor verification and profile indicators

As collaborative editing grows, readers need evidence of who consistently maintains information. Contributor verification examines change history and editing patterns and provides an account indicator. It was introduced to reference actual participation rather than decide accuracy from an edit count alone.

Profiles show introductions, activity and verification together. A prolific editor can still enter an incorrect value, so volume cannot establish that every edit is right. Readers can inspect the history behind participation and, where needed, return to a document’s actual changes.

Using activity history to examine documents

Contributors can revisit work distributed across many arcades from their profile. Other users can also see the human activity behind newly updated information. Following an account through to actual changes reveals collaborative work that an introduction alone would not explain.

The graph summarizes activity volume and timing; it does not verify the facts entered. Incorrect edits by verified accounts still need examination and restoration. A profile collects useful context for understanding contributions, while document accuracy continues to require checking changes against supporting on-site information.
